I get lazy in the mornings, so I like to make something that takes minimal effort but still tastes hella good. When I found out I could have banana ice-cream for breakfast and get away with it, I was like: “I can get on board with this.”
I call it nice-cream because it mimics ice-cream, and it’s nice to your body, the animals and the environment. It also tastes amazing so that’s quite nice as well.
The process is simple. Just peel and freeze some ripe bananas, and the next day you just throw them in a blender (ok be gentle) with some almond milk (or any other plant milk). If you want the plain version stop there. If you want the chocolate version, keep reading! Top with whatever you’d like, but these are my go-tos.
What you’ll need:
- 3-4 frozen bananas
- 2 tsp cocoa powder
- spoonful of peanut butter
- 1/2 cup almond milk
- hemp hearts
- chia seeds
- vegan chocolate
- Peel and freeze frozen bananas the night before.
- Add bananas, cocoa powder, peanut butter and almond milk to a blender and blend. The less liquid you use the thicker it will be.
- Add your preferred toppings and enjoy! 🙂
