Mean Green Smoothie

It’s so important to get your greens in but sometimes that can be hard. My favourite way to do this is to juice some vegetables and then add them to my smoothie! 

What you’ll need: 

  • 5-6 kale leaves
  • 5 celery stalks
  • 1/2 a cucumber
  • 3 green apples
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 lemon

Directions:

  1. Juice the kale, celery, cucumber and apples.
  2. Add your frozen bananas to a blender. Then add both the green and orange juice.
  3. Squeeze some lemon into the blender. I do this by grabbing a small bowl and cutting it in half. Then I press my fork into the lemon and move it back and forth in a seesaw motion. Then place the lemon juice into the blender.
  4. Blend and drink up!
